By booking an appointment, purchasing services or retail, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
Appointments & Reservations
Appointments may be scheduled online, through the Varuna app, or by phone.
A valid credit card or gift certificate is required to reserve appointments.
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
We require advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Failure to provide required notice may result in:
- A cancellation fee
- A no-show fee
- Charges up to 100% of the scheduled service value
Late arrivals may result in shortened services or rescheduling to maintain our schedule.
Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may require prepayment for future bookings.
Payments & Credit Card Surcharge
We accept cash and major credit cards.
A 3% surcharge is applied to all credit card transactions to offset processing fees.
Guests may avoid this surcharge by paying with cash.
Returned checks are subject to a $50 fee.
All pricing is subject to change without notice.
Gift Certificates
Standard gift certificates are valid for five years from the date of purchase in accordance with Maryland law.
Promotional and bonus gift certificates are valid for three months from the issue date and may be used toward services only.
Gift certificates are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash or used for tips.
Lost or stolen gift certificates cannot be replaced.
Retail Purchases
Retail products may be exchanged in accordance with our current salon policy.
All retail returns must comply with manufacturer guidelines and salon policy.
Service Satisfaction
We are committed to excellence and guest satisfaction.
If you have concerns regarding a service, please notify us within a reasonable timeframe so we may assess and address the situation appropriately.
Corrective services are provided at management discretion.
Health & Medical Disclosure
All services provided by Varuna Salon Spa are voluntary.
Guests are responsible for informing their service provider of any medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, injuries, medications, pregnancy, or other health considerations that may affect services but guests are responsible for their own informed consent.
By receiving services, guests acknowledge that they have disclosed all relevant health information and understand that salon and spa services involve inherent risks, including but not limited to skin irritation, allergic reaction, muscle soreness, or other unforeseen outcomes.
Varuna Salon Spa and its team members shall not be held liable for adverse reactions, injuries, or outcomes.
Certain services may require a signed consent form prior to treatment.
Guests assume full responsibility for their participation in services.
Personal Belongings
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings.
Varuna Salon Spa is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items or clothing.
Website Use
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Varuna Salon Spa or Aveda and may not be reproduced without permission.
Unauthorized use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varuna Salon Spa shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services, retail purchases, or website use.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone exhibiting inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive behavior.
Respect for our team and other guests is required at all times.
